| Course Description | Safety wiring is used in many mechanical fields such as aviation, automotive, racing and amusement. Safety wiring is used to secure fasteners to prevent them from loosening. Many manufactures require safety wiring to different types of fasteners for two main reasons. First, safety wiring provides positive locking on fasteners preventing them from backing out. Second, safety-wired fasteners allow inspectors and technicians to visually check for security of the fastener and verify tightness. |
