A4005 Introduction to Threaded Fasteners
| Course Title | A4005 Introduction to Threaded Fasteners |
| Course Number | A4005 |
| Course Objective | After successfully completing this training module, the student will be able demonstrate his knowledge of bolted connections. |
| Course Description | Considering how many screws, bolts, nuts and washers you have in your shop, they might be considered commonplace and simply the devices you use to hold two things together. In a sense that’s right. And yet they are the first to be blamed when an assembly fails. A failed bolt that costs less than one dollar could easily cost tens of thousands of dollars in down time, injuries, repair expenses and replacements. It’s important to realize that fastener technology is a very complex study of science, technology and application. This is just another way of saying that just as there is the right tool for a specific job, there is a proper fastener for every application. |
